Make space hardware cheaper. Make open contribution a real career.

AOSSI will publish its designs openly, so space hardware gets cheaper and easier to reach. It will pay contributors a fair share of the revenue their work produces, for the life of the product line, so contributing can be a real career. No equity. No gatekeeping. No cost-plus incentives.

Open designs exist. Revenue contracts exist. The combination is rare: a commons that grows, and pay worth a top builder's time.

Open licenses

Net-revenue shares for the life of the product line

Carryover credit when a new product reuses your earlier work. The repository history is the receipt.

Export-control review before every release

Principles

Participation is voluntary. Nobody gets drafted.

Leading means more work, not more rank. Everyone is a peer.

Experiment is king: no experiment, no project.

Open by default.

The family

Regardless Industries: the parent company. It will own and run the ventures.

AOSRI (Acme Open-Source Research Initiative): its job is to replicate research and check it before AOSSI builds on it.

acme.academy: planned. Courses and certificates of understanding for people without degrees.
